"They have to take turns looking after me"

Today I met a little old lady in the clinic. She has diabetes, chronic renal impairment, hypertension, high cholesterol and ischaemic heart disease (heart vesel blockages)

"Where do you stay, auntie?" I quipped my usual opening line. "I've got no fixed place" was her reply.

"What do you mean?" I probed wide-eyed, interest fanned.

I found out that she has 3 daughters, with whom she takes turn staying with. "They have to take turns putting me up" she earnestly explained.

There're a few ways of looking at this. But I'm so glad I've got a place I can call my own. Yet another reason for me to count my blessings instead of sheep.
