I've got a Nikon too, the absolutely fabulous Coolpix 4500 with a swivel head which allows photography from all awkward angles and best of all, snapping on the sly. Whats not so good is the lack of antishake, so caffeine-loving tremor-prone me was heavilly tripod dependent.
These are taken using my Lumix, antishake of course...
