Setting Up The Tortoise Enclosure

Over the weekend, I set up the tortoise enclosure. We've got a red-eared slider, a type of terrapin (aquatic tortoise) with a vermillion strip running down either sides of her cheeks. (We know she's female as males have longer hind leg claws)

When we first brough her back, she was about 4 inches long. We first spotted her swiming in an aquarium full of ornamental fishes and she didn't have a spot to climb onto. So we 'rescued' her for $8.

From 4 inches, she's now grown to almost a foot-long (adult size) and she's now way too big for the original tank.

So I decided to set up a tortoise enclosure.

Above are some details of the finished product and some setup details.
